The natural “Rocche dei sette Fratelli” amphitheater is the spectacular setting of the Vigin Winery, which was born in Treiso, a small village in the Langhe, a territory renowned for its great wines. The family-run company was founded in 1947 by grandfather Orlando Viglino, a great wine lover, albeit always being a non-drinker…
Since 1992, the winery goes into the hands of the daughter-in-law Monica Giuseppa, the current owner. Although of old agricultural traditions, the winemaking activity began only in 2002, by will of his son Davide, who graduated at the Alba enological school and was always fascinated by the winemaking art. This passion, handed down to him by his grandfather, still allows him to carefully supervise the entire wine-making process, keeping up with innovation, but still in accordance with the traditional principles of these territories. The care of the vineyard and the respect for nature are core elements that coexist in the company philosophy of quality, from the vine to the bottle. The small Vigin winery covers about six hectares, 70% vineyards. The company’s flagship product is certainly the Barbaresco DOCG. The other wines are: a white, Langhe DOC Chardonnay and the reds Dolcetto d’Alba DOC, Langhe DOC Nebbiolo and Langhe Rosso Nonnorlando, the result of the bond between innovation and tradition.
We export our wines to many European and extra-European countries: we love to satisfy the needs of good wine lovers all over the world.
